South Boston Welcomes Cider Feast Boston

An all-inclusive tasting event with Artisanal Cider Makers and Local Foods

Crisp fall days are perfect for celebrating cider, and on Saturday, November 12th, 2022, top cider makers will come together for CiderFeast, an afternoon of cider drinking and food tasting hosted by Jimmy Carbone of Beer Sessions Radio on Heritage Radio Network. Since 2011, CiderFeast has celebrated fall with a curated collection of 20 top hard cider brands from New York, New Jersey, New England, and abroad, including Ron Sansone’s Spoke + Spy Ciderworks, William Groe’s New Salem Cider, James Asbels’ Ciders of Spain, as well as Artifact Cid, Bear Swamp, BIrd Dog, Easthampton Cider Project, Farnum Hill, Original Sin, and many more favorites.

In addition to cider the festival will include wine, craft beer, and spirits from Cambridge’s Craft Spirits destination, Social Wines, and a roster of artisanal snacks and small plates, including plant-based foods from The Plant Pub, as well as local bread, cheese, grilled vegetables, hot sauce, and donuts!

The afternoon will also feature a discussion of New England cider-making with William Grote of New Salem Cider, a discussion of Cider Trees with Matt Kaminsky, a display of Cider Art from @Pomme_Queen, as well as food demos from Pat McAuley of Plant Pub Boston, and Houston’s nose-to-tail chef Richard Knight.

“The New York and New England CiderFeast events were a huge success — we expect to deliver the most delicious food, cider, and sour event this fall,” said Event Producer Jimmy Carbone. “New England is known for its unrivaled crop of apples — as the region was settled, transport via numerous waterways fueled the growth of the apple industry. CiderFeast events aim to tap into that history!”
